1. About this notice
This notice explains how Marsupia: Flight of Freedom handles information. It is designed to stand alone, so a store or in-app link may point directly to this page.
The controller details above identify the company responsible for this product. The developer name used for this product is StarSpun Labs.
This notice distinguishes information kept only on the user's device from information received by StarSpun Labs, its service providers or the app stores.
2. Privacy summary
Marsupia: Flight of Freedom completed levels, stars, progress and sound or haptic preferences.
Commercial model: Paid download; no in-app purchase.
Unless this notice says otherwise, the app has no StarSpun account, no advertising, no behavioural analytics and no cross-app tracking.
3. Information kept on the device
The app uses local storage to provide its functions and remember choices. StarSpun Labs does not receive this local information merely because it exists on the device.
- completed levels, stars and progress
- sound, haptic and other preferences
- brief on-device motion input when the optional shake-recovery feature is used on supported Apple devices
4. Information the app sends off the device
The intended release does not send gameplay, progress, settings, scores, assessment content or other local app records to StarSpun Labs, an advertising network or an analytics service.
An operating system may include eligible app data in device backup or transfer under the user's Apple, Google or device settings. That platform processing is not a StarSpun cloud-save service.
If a later release adds a remote service, this notice and the store declarations must be updated before release.
5. Purchases and app-store processing
Marsupia: Flight of Freedom is sold as a paid download. The app itself has no in-app purchase, subscription or billing screen.
Apple or Google processes the store account, payment, tax, refund, download and licence information under its own terms and privacy notice. StarSpun Labs does not receive the payment-card number, bank-account details or store password through the app.
The stores may provide the publisher with sales, refund, tax and transaction-administration reports needed to operate the business. Those reports are separate from gameplay data, which the app does not send to StarSpun Labs.
6. Support messages and the policy website
If a person contacts support or makes a privacy complaint, StarSpun Labs receives the email address, message, attachments and any device/app details the person chooses to provide. Do not send passwords, payment-card details, full assessment answers, medical records or other unnecessary sensitive information.
Support information is used to answer and administer the request, diagnose the reported problem, protect the service and meet legal obligations. The retention rule is 12 months after the matter is closed, unless a dispute, security incident or legal duty requires longer.
The StarSpun policy and support website uses no advertising, behavioural analytics or marketing cookies. It is hosted using Cloudflare. The hosting service may process standard connection and security records such as IP address, time, requested page and browser information. Those records are retained only for the period the hosting service needs to operate, secure and troubleshoot the site and meet its legal obligations, then deleted or anonymised under its own retention schedule.
7. Purposes and UK lawful bases
Local app data is used only to provide the requested app functions and remains under the user's device control.
Support and service administration rely on legitimate interests in supporting the product, preventing abuse and keeping appropriate records; contract may also apply where the request concerns a purchased product. Legal obligations and legal claims apply where necessary.
Website security logs rely on legitimate interests in securing and operating the public pages.
8. Sharing and international processing
The app does not share local gameplay or progress data with StarSpun service providers.
Apple and Google process app-store, device, payment and platform information under their own privacy notices. The support-email and website-hosting providers process the limited information needed to deliver those services for StarSpun Labs.
Where a provider processes information outside the UK, StarSpun Labs will use the contract and transfer safeguards required for the selected provider and record them in the processor and transfer register.
9. Retention and deletion
Use any in-app reset that is present, clear app storage, or delete the app. A device or platform backup may retain an eligible copy under the user's platform settings.
Because StarSpun Labs does not hold the local app records, it cannot retrieve, export or erase them remotely. Platform store and backup records must be managed through the relevant Apple, Google or device account.
Support, complaint and website records are retained according to the periods or criteria stated above.
10. Security
The release is designed to minimise data, keep app records local and avoid unnecessary SDKs. We restrict and protect access to company accounts, source code, signing material and support systems.
No technical measure is infallible. Users should protect their devices, review backup settings and share exports only with destinations they trust.
11. Children and target audience
Marsupia is currently positioned as a general-audience game, not an Apple Kids Category or Google child-directed title. It does not create accounts or collect gameplay data. A child should ask a parent or guardian to contact support.
If a child needs support, a parent or guardian should contact StarSpun Labs and should avoid including unnecessary personal information.
12. Your data-protection rights and complaints
Depending on the circumstances, a person may have rights to access, correct, erase, restrict, object to or receive a copy of personal information held by StarSpun Labs, and to withdraw consent where consent is the basis used. These rights apply to information StarSpun Labs actually holds; local-only app records remain under the user's device control.
Send a privacy request to contact@starspunlabs.com or use https://www.starspunlabs.com/privacy/data-requests/. Data-protection complaints may be submitted through https://www.starspunlabs.com/privacy/complaints/. StarSpun Labs will acknowledge a data-protection complaint within 30 days, investigate and keep the complainant informed, and communicate the outcome without undue delay.
A person may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office. A person does not need to complete StarSpun Labs' process before contacting the ICO.
13. Changes to this notice
This policy's effective date will be updated when a material data practice changes. A connected feature, account, analytics SDK, advertising SDK, cloud save, new purchase-validation server or new permission must not be released under this wording without a new review.
